How do you load games into NINTENDO DSI?
I'm thinking of getting one of these but I'm clueless about the media they use. Do they have little cartridges or game chips, tiny cd's or do you have to download them? No idea. I googled it and still couldn't find the answer. Also if you own one would you recommend it?
The Nintendo dsi is already out and selling well in Japan. In fact, it sold over 1 million dsi consoles in a little over 2 months. It is meant to hit the UK around April and should hit the USA at around about the same time. They are possibly taking their time in releasing it in these two markets for two reasons. One, to ensure that Japan has plenty of stock to meet demand. Two, to ensure that they sell as many ds lite’s as possible before the new dsi comes out.
Now, the question is, if you live in the UK, should you pre-order the Nintendo dsi console, or should you wait for it to be available?
Now, the Pros:
You get to have the dsi before any of your mates, and the general public get their hands on it. This means you will have bragging rights and become ‘the gamer’ friend everyone has. Apart from public admiration, you will also be able to enjoy using the dsi in the privacy of your room and get to know it. This means that when the dsi does come out and your friends get their own copy, you will be the first person they turn to with any questions they have about it. Now, you can either help them out for free, or you can get them to pay you in Pizza and beer.
Cons:
Well, as you are importing the dsi, you will pay a little more for it than you would in the UK. It is set to retail in the UK for roughly £120, but you are looking at paying around £150-£170 for an imported version.
This is not a huge difference, but still, during these tough times cash is tight.
The second con is that the dsi console will be region locked. This means that you will have to learn some Japanese in order to get the potential out of the games. The reasons they have given for this is because different areas have different age limits, and because they will be using the dsiware differently for different geographical locations.
Well, I hope this has helped you choose not to pre-order your dsi console, as it wont be that much longer to wait to have it in the UK.
